Nelson's Electronic Bible Reference Library: 21 Books Unlocked Thomas Nelson Publishers

Several versions of this product are available (on either a one- or two-disc system using a password unlocking device): the Basic version is reviewed here. The system comes with both a 32-page Quick Start Guide and a 192-page User's Guide, and it needs every page of both to explain how to use it. The search software is among the most challenging and cumbersome these reviewers have ever seen. We expected to encounter specialized Biblical terminology but not the amount of computer jargon this disc employs. Bottom Line: Not recommended for library collections as the learning curve would limit access and use considerably; may be useful to Biblical scholars with computer expertise.
